Full description
The calathea, or prayer plant, closes its leaves at dusk and opens them again in the morning. That daily movement makes it feel genuinely alive rather than decorative.
It prefers medium light, high humidity and soft, lime-free water. Brown leaf edges are almost always a sign of tap water or dry air.
